About Allied Air

Allied Air was founded in 1998 by Captain Valentine Tongo, the current MD/CEO and principal shareholder of Allied Air Limited. Captain Tongo is a seasoned airline pilot who has operated various aircraft types including the Boeing 747, 707 and the DC-10, as well as the BAC 1-11 and HS-125. Over a period spanning more than 30 years he has acquired a wealth of experience and know-how in management and flight operations in the aviation industry.

Allied Air commenced operations over two decades ago and has successfully established an enviable reputation as a cargo airline with quality and reliable delivery standards and an exemplary air safety record. Allied Air is proud to have several world-class companies as regular clients.

The airline is fully authorised and recognised by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority as a National Flag Carrier. Allied Air is also the Designated Cargo Airline on numerous routes across Africa under the Bi-Lateral Services Agreement, and is the first IOSA-certified cargo airline in Africa.

With corporate headquarters and facilities at the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos, Nigeria, Allied Air boasts impressive transit cargo and warehousing facilities equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. A highly skilled and well-motivated workforce runs the Flight Operations, Engineering, Technical Records, Training and Cargo Document Processing departments.

The airline currently employs over 120 staff including flight crew. Allied Air has offices in locations throughout Nigeria and overseas offices in London, Paris, Amsterdam and Brussels.
